This Gurdwara is situated in between Gurdwara Tambu Sahid and Gurdwara Hargobind Sahib. No historical evidence is forthcoming in connection with this Gurdwara. The Gurdwara is safe but no ceremony is held here.

Gurdwara Tambu Sahib is the place where the Forty Muktas, or the Liberated Ones, created a ruse for the Mughal forces pursuing Guru Gobind Singh Ji. When the Sikhs, under the leadership of Mai Bhago, were searching for Guru Ji, they saw a big Mughal army in pursuit of the Guru. At this place, the Sikhs spread their belongings in such a manner that it seemed as if a large number of tents had been set up. This created the impression of a large force camping here. It succeeded in confusing the Mughals who had information that Guru Ji had just a handful of Sikhs with him. Later, a very fierce battle took place between the Sikhs and the Mughals. The birthdays of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Gobind Singh Ji and shahidi purab of Guru Arjun Dev Ji are celebrated with great fervour here. Besides, the Magh Mela is organized on the 12th and 13th of January to commemorate the sacrifice of the Forty Muktas. Diwali and Baisakhi are also celebrated. Gurdwara Tambu Sahib is located in the city of Muktsar in the Main Sadar Bazar on the Muktsar-Bhatinda Road. It is situated within the premises of Sri Darbar Sahib, Mukatsar.
